House Washing in Palatine, IL

This house wash, or house softwash was right in the same neighborhood as Magner Power Wash, on the south side of Palatine, right on the border or Rolling meadows. The customer found us from a facebook ad video. The customer contacted us and since it was so close we drove right out to see the project.

The customer had algae on the north faces of his home, especially on their chimney. House softwashing is suited perfectly to remove algae and lichen from vinyl siding.

The way it is done is by using a pressure washer pump, which is built into the back of our truck, and a device called a "downstream injector" which pushes an algicide soap into the high pressure hose line at a very specific ratio.

This makes it incredibly efficient to apply soap all over the home, using a low pressure nozzle. The soap is applied to all vertical surfaces of the home, one side at a time, and left to dwell. The soap neutralizes the algae, which causes it to release from the pores of the material. After the soap dwells for anywhere from 3-15 minutes, the algae can simply be rinsed off of the home using low pressure water.

At the end of the day, softwashing or house washing provides a better clean than traditional pressure washing because it kills ALL the mold, mildew, lichen algae, moss, dirt and organics from the home.

This is what was done on our customers home, and the house turned out great.

Not only did we wash the house, but we also did his entire driveway, all the public sidewalks on the corner lot, and two stone and concrete patios in the rear of the home.
